Is New Year’s Resolution a Waste of Time? 2023 Problems and Solutions

--

Fortunately, my travel to work was 1.5 hrs to 2 hours hrs both ways so that gave me more time to read books at least two pages if not more or study or listen to motivational YouTube videos.

So, by the time I went home, I did all my tasks, all I need to do was just catch up or prepare for the next day.

You will wake up by force to go to work anyway, so why not do what you want by choice?

Exploring ourselves and our surroundings.

For me, the evenings and weekends are dedicated to family time.

Especially after work, I remember reading that in the book “The Magic of Thinking Big”, and I tell you it always gave me positive energy after a long day at work even if I was working evenings, I would at least make sure that I spend time with family.

This has helped me to make it a daily routine before or after work no matter what time of the day I would make sure to dedicate time for family and make that casual chat, this had remarkable rewards.

Exploring my city alone

I started to explore and discover London alone. I was always comfortable with that but this time I was more aware of it with a different mindset during my new personal development journey or you may call it a self-discovery journey.

Most of us are uncomfortable exploring alone or travelling alone, but I tell you start small, the results are amazing.

There are many exhibitions and galleries etc all are worth visiting, little that I knew this feeds our creativity this I what to learned recently. Even random conversations with people that you meet are also insightful as we learn from each other’s experiences and our motives to explore.

I learned so much from exploring alone, you have time for yourself, and you take yourself on an adventure or a date whichever way you want to see it.

Your company

This is a bit uncomfortable for me to share but I think it is essential to mention especially if you want to focus on your goals. Your friends or acquaintances will be surprised at how that can affect you. Make sure that you surround yourself with the ones who will add to you, encourage you to do better not drain you and waste your time, energy and money.

So there you have it

Simple steps can lead to big results. Just start and don’t wait for the perfect time moment or the perfect conditions they will never come.

If I didn’t just start on that Wednesday 1st February I would have never done it at all, I could have said that it is too late and I missed the January Bus 😊

The best book to help you is the Magic of Thinking Big by Dr David Schwartz, which will give you a holistic view of how thinking about yourself and your surroundings can help you to better yourself and achieve your goals.

Remember you need to be very patient; this is a continuous process and it evolves with you, plus you won’t always be %100 motivated, sometimes you will go off track or distracted, or things won’t always go into plan, and still be patient it is so worth it.

go for it just start

What I have shared with the like a starter pack, once you master that then you are good to style it your way. There is no fit for all way here, it is subjective it depends on you.

You might share with me what other tips or tricks you have or if you have applied any of what I have mentioned share with me in the comments how have you benefited from it.
